Inquire Now For 2025-26
2026-27 Interest Form
Priority Application Window for 2026-27: January 12-23. All applications received during this time will be included in the lottery.
Access Frisco is an exciting initiative that opens the doors of Frisco ISD to students beyond current Frisco ISD attendance zones, extending access to the top-tier education Frisco ISD is known for.
For the 2025–26 school year, applications are being accepted for students entering Kindergarten through 7th grade at all campuses that are currently at or below 90% capacity. Families who apply will be notified as requests are reviewed and seats are finalized.
If you would like your student to enroll in Frisco ISD for the current academic year (2025-26), you are welcome to submit an inquiry form now. You will be contacted by a member of our transfer staff as soon as possible.
FISD is dedicated to knowing every student by name and need. Through Access Frisco, we can embrace that mission even more broadly by inviting new families to join our community. Added enrollment helps us optimize class sizes and provide a diverse range of programs and opportunities for all students to thrive.

Step 1: Submit Your Application (Priority Window = Lottery)
Families who apply during the Priority Application Window will be entered into a randomized lottery for campus placement. Applying on the first day or last day does not impact your chances. All applications submitted during the window are treated equally.
Step 2: Lottery Results Notification
After the lottery is completed, families will receive one of the following updates by the end of day on 1/27/2026:
Provisional Offer: Your student has been offered a provisional seat at a campus.
Waitlist: Your student has not been placed yet but remains in line for possible placement if space becomes available.
Step 3: Accept Your Provisional Offer (If Offered)
Families who receive a provisional offer must accept the offer for the process to move forward.
The sooner the offer is accepted, the sooner the district can begin the records request process.
Provisional offers that are not accepted within 14 days may be released and offered to waitlisted families.
Step 4: Records Request + Review Process (Most Time-Consuming Step)
After a family accepts a provisional offer:
Frisco ISD requests records from the student’s current school.
Records may take two to three weeks to arrive, as school systems are allowed up to 10 days to respond to record requests.
Missing or incomplete documents from the current school district may create delays.
Records are reviewed in the order they are received, not in the order applications were submitted.
Step 5: Approval Decision + Registration
Once records have been reviewed, families will receive a final decision:
Approved: The Access Frisco team will provide the next steps for completing and finalizing registration.
Denied: Families will be notified with additional information regarding the reason for the denial. Please see Access Frisco eligibility section below for more information.
Families who are waitlisted do not need to reapply.
As placements become available, waitlisted families may receive a provisional offer.
Once a provisional offer is accepted, the records request and review process begins.
Applications are submitted through PowerSchool Enrollment. Families should be prepared to provide the following documents:
Birth certificate or passport
Immunization records
Parent driver’s license or passport
Previous school records (most recent rep in ort card or unofficial transcript)
Proof of residency (gas, water, or electric bill)
Optional: Student Social Security card.
Families do not need to reapply each year. Students may remain in Frisco ISD through graduation (following the projected Access Frisco feeder pattern) as long as they continue to meet program expectations related to attendance, behavior and academic performance. Families should note:
As placements become available, waitlisted families may receive a provisional offer..
Once a provisional offer is accepted, the records request and review process begins..
When moving from elementary to middle school or middle school to high school, students will submit a Transfer Request form (not a full application).
Each year, families will also complete a Transfer Agreement outlining program expectations.
Starting in 2026-27, Frisco ISD will expand Access Frisco to include paid prekindergarten for eligible students who live outside the district. Applications for tuition-based pre-K will open April 1, 2026, with more information available through the district’s enrollment resources.
Families will continue to follow the projected Access Frisco feeder pattern, ensuring a smooth progression through elementary, middle, and high school.
Stay informed by submitting the Interest Form for updates on application timelines and campus-specific details.
To be eligible for Access Frisco, the student must meet the following criteria:
Resident of the state of Texas at the time of transfer request submission.
In the current academic year (to date of application), the student has demonstrated regular attendance and has not exceeded 10 days of unexcused absences.
In the prior academic year and the current academic year (to date of application), the student was not expelled and did not attend JJAEP, was not placed at DAEP and did not attend DAEP, and was not placed in in-school suspension or out-of-school suspension.
The student demonstrates appropriate academic progress, as demonstrated by passing grades in most core academic subjects and satisfactory scores on standardized assessments, if applicable.
Student’s admission will be based on available capacity at campuses at or below 90%.
To demonstrate eligibility for an Access Frisco transfer, documents demonstrating eligibility in all categories above must be submitted within the timeline provided by the District. Please submit documents verifying eligibility promptly to avoid a denial of the associated transfer request.
For more information on the Access Frisco Eligibility please refer to the Administrative Transfer Guidelines.
Parents whose Access Frisco request is approved will be responsible for providing transportation to and from the campus.
Frisco ISD will not provide specialized transportation as a related service under an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) or under a Section 504 plan for Access Frisco because such specialized transportation as a related service is available in the student’s home district.
Transfer students must be delivered and picked up from their assigned campus and/or activities on time.
Requesting and accepting a transfer constitutes a parent’s assurance that safe and timely transportation will be provided to and from the approved campus.
A transfer may be revoked if the parent does not provide safe and timely transportation.
Frisco ISD cheerleading tryouts take place each spring for middle and high school students. Access Frisco students who are interested in cheer for the 2026-27 school year must apply during the first priority application window, Jan. 12-23, 2026. Please review the Access Frisco Cheerleading Eligibility & Tryout Process for important details about eligibility requirements and the application and tryout process for Access Frisco students.
