District Improvement Plan

Each year, FISD conducts a comprehensive needs assessment to identify strengths and opportunities for improvement, ensuring our vision is carried out in ways that best meet the needs of our community.

Our annual District Improvement Plan begins with strategic goals developed in collaboration with stakeholders and adopted by the Board of Trustees. Those goals directly align to priorities within our future-ready framework, which represents a series of conditions we expect to exist for all students in FISD and serves as the foundation of our continuous improvement efforts.

2025-26 District Improvement Plan

At the June 9 Board meeting, Trustees approved the District Improvement Plan for the 2025-26 school year. The five strategic goals outlined in this plan align with community survey results and reflect the input of stakeholders from across the District.

The District Improvement Team, a committee of the District Advisory Council, serves as the state-required district-level planning committee that helps leaders develop, evaluate and revise the district improvement plan each year.
