Frisco ISD offers both state-funded and tuition-based Pre-K programs for children who are 4 years old on or before September 1.

*Bilingual Pre-K programs follow the district’s K–5 bilingual attendance zones and are available only to students who reside within Frisco ISD boundaries and qualify for the program.

Program options:
State-Funded Pre-K (Free): Available to students who live within Frisco ISD boundaries and meet at least one of the eligibility criteria. Every student who qualifies for state-funded Pre-K will have a seat.
Tuition-Based Pre-K: Available for children who don’t qualify for state-funded Pre-K. This option is open to both in-District and out-of-District families at select campuses based on available space. Seats are limited and children must be potty trained.

Applications are processed in the order received. Every child who qualifies for the state-funded Pre-K program will have a seat.
Processing timelines:
April–May: Processing begins late April. Families will receive emails on a rolling basis throughout the summer.
June and later: Applications typically reviewed within 1 business week.

If your child may qualify based on limited English proficiency, you will be asked to schedule an in-person language assessment.
For the upcoming school year: Assessments are scheduled after the current school year ends, since school staff conduct the testing. Families will be contacted to set up an appointment.
For the current school year: Assessments are offered weekly throughout the year so students can be admitted on a rolling basis.
If your child is currently enrolled as a 3-year-old in Walk-In Speech or at the Early Childhood School, no additional action is required. You will receive a Snapcode by email in the spring to update your child’s registration.
Pre-K is hosted at the following campuses and serves students from specific elementary attendance zones. Placement is based on attendance zones and available space.

These match district zoning for K-5 Bilingual Programming. The Bilingual Education program is available only to students who reside within Frisco ISD boundaries. It is offered exclusively as part of the state-funded Prekindergarten program and is not available to students enrolled in the tuition-based Prekindergarten option or to out-of-district students.
